The last time Wayne Horvitz was in Moers was exactly 20 years ago, with John Zorn's Naked City. Having left New York for Seattle the previous year, Horvitz quickly became one of the leading figures of the Seattle jazz and rock scene. Last November the Earshot Festival in Seattle held a 20 year retrospective at which “Zony Mash”, Horvitz’s jazz-funk band, appeared for the first time with a horn section and was the runaway hit of the festival.
