Instantly likable pop, strong vocals, and beautiful melodies made it a wonder this two-man band didn't explode during the late '80s. Drummer Johnny Hott's style has a military beat, appropriate to the band's historical, Southern bent. Singer Bryan Harvey is incredibly original and confident. The record still sounds completely fresh. -- Denise Sullivan (allmusic.com)
