Thank you very much for your interest in my book, "THROUGH HELL AND HIGH WATER". I hope you will enjoy reading it. Leslie W. Bailey June 12, 1997
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bailey served in the 34th Infantry Division in North Africa and Italy as a junior officer (Lt through Capt). His story is not as visceral as those of many of the enlisted men I've read. This makes sense. Although he spent time leading an infantry platoon, much of his war career was on staff (as S-3). It is an engaging and well told story. The most interesting part to me was the invasion of the port of Algiers.
