| Route Description | At Bear Lake, skirt the east shore 0.1 miles (0.2 km) to the Bierstadt Lake/Flattop Mountain Trail. At the Flattop Mountain Trail junction (0.3 miles; 0.5 km), turn left. After another half mile (0.8 km), turn left again to stay on the Flattop Mountain Trail. Continue climbing through forest, past the treeline, and to the summit. |
