With their third album, Cords, Synergy began to repeat some of their ideas without expanding them greatly. There is still plenty of provocative, rewarding music on the album, but it doesn't quite match the freshness or brilliance of the first two records. -- Stephen Thomas Erlewine (allmusic.com)
