Notes
CHICAGO ~ Nassau Coliseum Uniondale NY 1977-05-20 [FM]Lineage: FM > ? > CD-R trade > WAV (EAC) > FLAC (TLH)
This is a great live performance by Chicago. Recorded for FM with lots of live energy, during a great time for Chicago. Original line-up, which includes the great Terry Kath. The band was only months away from releasing Chicago XI.
A couple of notes:
* I received this show as a CD-R in a recent trade.
* DimeBot shows this was on Dime in 2006 and again in 2007, but date 1977-06-20 (Monday).
* When I received this show it was noted as 1977-05-20 (Friday) which matches etree, so I'm sticking with that date for now. Who plays a big stadium gig with FM broadcast on a Monday anyway???
* The track listing from 2006 and 2007 showing on DimeBot is slightly different to this. That is, the set list matches but the tracks have been divided a little differently. Makes me think this is likely a different source to the one previously seeded here.
* Tested and confirmed lossless audio.
* I could find no record of this material ever being officially released.
* Sound is a little degraded in spots. I would rate as A- but still very listenable.
* This is a great show, and if you like Chicago you will really dig this!
