At which point, the good Professor Goody noticed that there were issues with the pitch. Oh, boy, DID he notice, and get to work! You see, when you have a tape that old, possibly recorded using less than 100% batteries, and who knows what else has happened to this tape, you get something like what was first given to Professor Goody where the tape is off one way and then a few seconds later off in the opposite way.... Well, WHAT A MESS!!!
Goody passed along all sorts of information to FRANK, most of which didn't mean anything because it was way over FRANK's head. Goody did offer:
My added lineage would be as follows:
goody: dBpoweramp (WAV) > Cool Edit Pro (various Pitch Bender offsets, fades, minor edits, etc.) > TLH (FLAC, ffp)
Goody made another comment that FRANK thinks wraps up just about everything that needs to be said about this, but might be taken the wrong way. Goody said, "It's obvious this is a Frankenstein reconstruction. That said, the sources work decently enough together." The reference to Frankenstein, FRANK is quick to add, is a factual praise of all the work put into this by Guy Vickers, Featseeker and Professor Goody. FRANK salutes, and thanks, all three of them.
