This is a collection of never-before-released demos, radio sessions, and rare European singles spanning the many aspects of Phil Manzanera's career. Demo sessions from his Quiet Sun days are here, and they sound somewhat dated with their long-drawn-out solos and improv playing. Then it is on to the more interesting 801 sessions, recorded on British radio, and this music is brilliant. Great live studio work of "Law and Order" and "Remote Control" are worth the price of the CD alone. Great stuff. The late-'80s demos and European singles are less interesting, but still pleasant to listen to. This is an ideal CD for collectors. -- Aaron Badgley (allmusic.com)
