The afternoon gig in the foyer was broadcast 'live', unless you had your tapes rolling you missed it. No playback in those days. Dick in his inbetween song banter spot started beautifully rambling in his conversation. I bet the people in the BBC broadcast truck were screaming 'get him to shut up and just play a tune, this is live radio !!!'...
