This single is U2's second from 1984's The Unforgettable Fire and was released with nine different tracks on six different worldwide versions. The Unforgettable Fire takes its name from a painting exhibition by survivors from the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings at the Chicago Peace Museum, which U2 had visited in 1983. The double 7" vinyl version was released in the U.K. and Ireland with six tracks: the title track; a sound check version of "A Sort of Homecoming" from their November 15, 1984, Wembley Stadium performance; "Love Comes Tumbling"; "The Three Sunrises"; "Bass Trap"; and "60 Seconds in Kingdom Come." The four non-album tracks are all from the The Unforgettable Fire recording sessions. This is perhaps the best version to find and one of the better U2 singles, chock-filled with non-LP material. "The Unforgettable Fire" peaked at number three on the U.K. singles chart. -- JT Griffith (allmusic.com)
