Nils Petter Molvær feat. Eivind Aarset & hr-bigband 24/48 Complete [Lewojazz-biddie-TomP upgrade]=================================================
hr-Sendesaal, Frankfurt Germany
Performed: 2016-04-15
Source 1: 320/48 mpeg-ts Lewojazz recordings, 2017-03-19 & 2017-05-07 (*) hr2 > ffmeg (24/48 wav)
Source 2: Biddie live aud recording (24/48 wav) ** used also for missing intertrack fills in Source 1
Contrast clause: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=600843 is my old lower quality post using 16/44.1 extracts from Source 1 plus a partial WDR3 broadcast that is unused here.
Fine further updated Lewojazz art is included - thanks !!
Quality: EX
========
My original post was incomplete using all that was broadcasted of this great concert, but then Dimer biddie sent me his really great 24/48 aud recording and suggested I stitch this with the broadcast files to give the complete concert. As I did not want to downsample biddie's excellent quality files, I re-extracted the original Source 1 ts-files to 24/48 to match these - as is Audition's recommended practice - and was surprised there was a further sound quality improvement compared to 16/48 extracts, so I decided to keep the post as 24/48.
Some broadcast editing was evident in Source 1 tracks, so I got great help from fbauer to decode a final setlist and he identified 2 new tracks and a more complete (and re-positioned) track 03 which all stitched in seamlessly and filled gaps left by talk or editing. After relatively simple editing, it is a wonderful sounding recording of the full concert, now with an extra 24:23 music.
TomP post on Dime, June 2018...Enjoy !!
