"If you were asked to write a concerto for a five-stringed
electric viola, what would it sound like?
The Windsor Symphony Orchestra asked composer Brent Lee
to do exactly that.
So he decided to unite two great traditions: the "soloist-as-hero"
tradition of 19th century classical music, and the space-age
guitar riffs of 1970s psychedelic rock!
Sound pretty far out? It is! Bold, spacey, wild - like Jimmy
Hendrix playing "guitar hero" backed by a live symphony orchestra!
It's called "Ruck and Rill" (rock & roll!) and it features violist
Alexander Mishnaevski and the Windsor Symphony Orchestra."
