Sometime during the mid-'80s True Confessions tour with Bob Dylan, this fabulous collaboration with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers took place and was cut for the underrated Let Me Up (I've Had Enough) album. A straight-ahead, Rolling Stones-style electric guitar riff leads the song, and the fabulous groove is positively infectious, very much like the Stones' "Start Me Up." Lyrically, the song is a laundry list of 1980s media icons, film and television stars (Vanessa Redgrave, Eddie Murphy, others) who have been overexposed and whom the world could easily do without. The song has rightfully stayed in the band's concert repertoire, with astounding results. -- Matthew Greenwald (allmusic.com)
