Notes: What an amazing show - I was starting to feel regret over the fact that I had spent so much money for VIP seats, and had heard from the promoter that we wouldn't be able to get the 180 gram vinyl of Union I had bought especially for autographs signed. I tend to worry over nothing - as it turned out, I got that signed, plus a Big Generator vinyl signed for my wife's Yes fan cousin (Rick signed it "not invited", referencing that he wasn't on the album). We had third row seats and met several other great Yes fan couples other than ourselves, plus the band (especially Trevor) were extremely gracious during the meet & greet and the Q&A that immediately followed the soundcheck. I don't know if it was worth the money I paid, but, it was a very enjoyable experience.

The show itself - we were left with no doubt who "Yes" really is. So good to see Jon in his element again. Really exciting to see Rabin back on lead guitar - his enthusiasm was apparent throughout the show. Rick looked like he had rolled out of bed and strapped on a cape, but, he also was smiling and clearly enjoying playing with the other musicians. Too many highlights to count, but, the short version of Roundabout ends with Rick and Trevor playing a ridiculously over the top jam as they ran up and down the aisles of the theater! It's true: Trevor was shredding all over Steve Howe's parts and was finally playing his own songs in the manner in which they should be played - and I mean that all as a compliment! I joked to my wife "if Steve heard what Trevor was doing to his parts in Awaken, he'd be rolling over in his grave!"

For the first time, I manually set the recording level and am pleased with the result. It was recorded slightly low, so, I used Audacity to boost the sound a bit (no clipping). There are three times that I had to cough - they really had the smoke machine cranked up, and I just couldn't take it after awhile. Plus, the theater was quite warm and we were pretty well crammed in together. The crowd was pretty into it, but, I don't notice anything to distracting from the people around us. As always, my wife is a saint - this is now her third Yes related show this year! - and this recording would not have been possible without her.

I can't stop you from doing what you will with this, but, my preference would be that you not sell it and that you include this text
file when sharing. Best wishes to all the Yes fans out there!
