As part of the Canberra centenary celebrations a live broadcast today features the music of J.S.Bach and a tribute to the art of improvisation.

From Albert Hall in Canberra a quartet led by trumpeter Miroslav Bukovsky and pianist Bill Risby explores why Bach's music lends itself so well to jazz interpretations. Bach was known as a wonderful improvisor and this concert continues a tradition in jazz of taking inspiration from one of the giants of western music.
