Author Bio: Walter R. Borneman is a Colorado attorney and historian. He climbs regularly throughout Colorado and the West and is currently chairman of the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative. Lyndon J. Lampert lives in the San Juan Mountains, where he writes in winter and is a fishing guide in the summer.
