| This is a fun, light survey of some notable Colorado hotels built at the end of the 19th century or beginning of the 20th century. A fair amount of the text simply describes the buildings. Sometimes it's the author's description, sometimes the descriptions come from contemporary newspaper accounts. There are also quite a few little vignettes, like the guy who struck gold digging the foundation for the hotel, or the one who lost his hotel in a poker game. |
