Lone Pine Lake

Trailhead: East Inlet
Distance: 5.3 mi
Elevation Change: 1,500'

The first half (or so) of the trail climbs gently, or should I say, hardly climbs at all, gaining only a few hundred feet. The second half climbs steadily, over hundreds of stone steps built into the trail. Passing through mixed aspen and pine forest, the trail occasionaly offers dramatic views of the valley to the west.
