Notes/Review |
I like that Haldeman concentrates more on the "fi" than the "sci" in sci-fi. He doesn't waste time trying to explain how things work, just on how the science or technology affects the characters.
This book is not a sequel to "Forever War". It is much closer, in fact, to "Mindbridge".
I was a bit put off by a stylistic choice Haldeman made. Point of view alternates between an omniscient third person and one of the main characters. It wasn't clear to me at first and caused me a bit of confusion. |
